001 Rome

001 Rome

Our time in Rome was damp but very enjoyable.

Photos of our day trip to Naples.

003 Pisa and Florence

003 Pisa and Florence

We spent a couple of night in Pisa after the Formula One was sadly cancelled due to flooding. We also did a day trip to Florence

004 Tuscanny

004 Tuscanny

Our week in Tuscanny staying at Villa Petrea and visiting hilltop villages, plus enjoying excellent wine and food.

005 Cinque Terre

005 Cinque Terre

Photos of our time in Cinque Terre which is a world heritage listed area encompassing five villages - Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso. They are all connected by train which we made good use of to visit all villages. We stayed five nights at Manorala. Each village was very busy with tourists and we would not like to be there in peak time.

006 Sardinia

006 Sardinia

Our photos of Sardinia. What a great trip we had with Dale and Jennifer driving ourselves around on the wrong side of the road and avoiding crazy Italian drivers! Highly recommend a trip to Sardinia which we found was not as crowded as the mainland.

007 Dubrovnik Croatia

007 Dubrovnik Croatia

Photos of our time in Dubrovnik, Croatia, and day trips to Montenegro and Bosnia

008 Dubrovnik to Split

008 Dubrovnik to Split

We thoroughly enjoyed a very relaxing seven days on the MS Antaris cruising amongst the Croatian Islands.

009 Split to Venice

009 Split to Venice

After leaving the MS Antaris, eight of us boarded a 50 seater bus for a five day tour through Croatia, Slovenia, and ending in Venice.

010 Venice

010 Venice

On our first morning in Venice, we had a great early photo walk tour with Marco Secchi who certainly knew the hidden and non-tourist streets, bridges, and canals to explore. On our second day, we visited Burano which is a small island at the northern end of the Venetian lagoon and famous for its colourful houses. Two full days in Venice was hardly enough but we made the most of it before flying home.
